Waterfall Kamieńczyk (846 m a. m. s. l. Ger. Zackelfall) - the highest waterfall in the Polish Sudetes. The water stream Kamieńczyk falls in three cascades from a height of 27 m.
Behind
the middle cascade cave was artificially forged by the Walloons, who
for centuries found here amethysts and pegmatites. Grotto is called the
Golden cave. Before World War II Kamienczyk waterfall had the status of a
monument of nature, now it is the area of strict protection, forming
part of the Giant Mountains National Park.
Below
the waterfall is a canyon Kamieńczyka length of 100 m. The width by the
waterfall is about 15 m, and below are reduced by up to 3 meters. The
walls are up to 25 meters high.
Waterfall is located on one of the trails from Szklarska Poręba to Szrenica. Near the waterfall is a shelter "Kamieńczyk."
