Mogielica - the highest peak of the Beskid Wyspowy (1170.2 m). The top part of the Mogielica massif is called by the local population Kopa, due to the characteristic shape. From the viewpoints, at the top and on the glades, there are wide views of the Beskid Wyspowy, Beskid Sądecki, Pieniny, Gorce and Tatra Mountains.
We started the trip to Mogielica from Przełęcz E. Rydza-Śmiały, we went along the green trail which leads straight to the top. We planned the descent along the yellow trail through the Pod Mogielica pass and then to Słopnice Królewskie, from where you have to go back to the starting point via the red trail.
After passing through the clearing, an asphalt road leading up between the houses appeared to our eyes.
A bit higher started the gravel road leading along the picturesque glade and showing us more and more beautiful views of the Beskid Wyspowy.
Just before the summit, there is a clearing where you can lie down and enjoy the beautiful views around us in fine weather.
At the top there is an observation tower from which we can admire not only the Beskid Wyspowy but also Gorce, Beskid Sądecki, Pieniny and Tatra mountains.
The views in nice weather are really great and worth the entrance to the observation tower in spite of quite steep stairs leading to the top.
At the top there is also a sign with the name of the mountain and the altitude above sea level.
Descent leads through the forest and from time to time picturesque glades which make a really great impression in the beautiful weather :)
