Rzeszów

Rzeszów - a city with poviat rights in south-eastern Poland, the capital of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and the seat of the authorities of the Rzeszów poviat. Rzeszów has about 191,000 inhabitants

Rzeszów is the largest industrial, academic and cultural center in south-eastern Poland. This city is located at the foot of the Carpathians, on the river Wisłok, in the beautiful landscape of the Sandomierz Valley and the Carpathian Foothills.







Rzeszów is a center with a long history and rich tradition, whose history dates back to 1354. That is why we will find here many monuments, among others:

- Town Hall in Rzeszów, Main market - a beautiful 15th-century building which is the main decoration of the market square in Rzeszów

- parish church in Rzeszów, Farna Square - a 14th century antique temple that starts the promenade

- Lubomirski Castle in Rzeszów, Sreniawicki Square - a magnificent 16th-century building with a huge bastion

- Bernardine Monastery and Minor Basilica

- Lubomirski summer palace, Lubomirski Avenue

- Synagogues in Rzeszów, ul. Bożnicza - Staromiejska from the 17th century and Nowomiejska from the 18th century - currently an art gallery









- Underground Tourist Route, Rynek - almost 400-meter route stretching under the Rzeszów Market Square, descent to the Underground is located at the Town Hall

- Events in Rzeszów - the Music Festival in Łańcut, organized by the Rzeszów Philharmonic, has gained the greatest reputation. Among the urban cyclical events, the most popular are "Rzeszow Days", "Święto 3 Maja Street - or Święto na Pańskiej" and "Jarmark Rzecha"
